I’m attempting the intro to Hear about it later (attempting to play it at full speed that is).

I also thought about maybe doing some drumming, but that wouldn’t be directly an EVH tribute?

here is my beginners level contribution...I don’t have confidence in myself learning the rest of the intro at a half respectable speed and playing it in a presentable manner for the camera... so here’s mine legit just playing the first 8 bars... LOL

@Ed Seith Yeah I saw EVH played a lot with his fingers, been tryin it. I never liked it before on electric, but now I do. I'm going to try and just be a hybrid picker. Somethings I like needs a pick, don't got long talons.

I’m a beginner and it’s not much, so I hope it’s enough. I was never good at arpeggios, but I figured challenging myself was the least I could do for Eddie. I hope you guys like this. I attempted the intro to Pretty Woman.

This amp is a little sucky, so it sounds really bad if I add distortion and wanted to make sure you guys could hear my work loud and clear. I might upload a distorted version on my Marshall amp though. You’ll probably love that one better! Thank you, Captain! ❤

amazing
my hands been hurting from practice, some parts I need my pinky, but my fretboard is a little cramped
practicing eruption, I can do it slow, for sure can't go full speed by Tuesday

Since everyone seems to be posting progress videos, here's mine. This is a style I don't think I've ever attempted. If I did ANYTHING like this, I haven't touched it since the mid-90s, at the latest, so go easy on me. The tone is a "country twang" for a Strat that I downloaded from the Fractal AxeChange site.
