I have learned...
-the CAGED system
-a bunch of new techniques (sweep picking, economy picking etc)
-little tips and tricks
-learned to practise with a metronome so my speed is better and playing is cleaner
-how awesome the guitar community is

I only really started properly on here around 1 year ago or so, and I don't want to imagine how much harder it would be to find the content if this awesome school wasn't here!

The first year i didnt really learn much. I just worked on technique and consistency.

This past year I've learned a TON. Caged.. and other arpeggios. I've also pushed limits in switching scales in the middle of a run or solo. You wouldn't ever know. Starting to play more verticle on the fretboard.

I could list a ton of accomplishments. It's been a good year playing wise.

    Wow, happy birthday SGS! 🎉🎉

Best question is what didn't the school do for me? Get me a girlfriend maybe :ROFLMAO:
But honestly, it changed my life completely from a musical perspective. I achieved things I never dreamed of with the school.
I learned the solo to hail to the king and finally nailed the buried alive intro (all hail Jak)
I improved on all my techniques, did my first improvs, learned my first full songs, got my brother into playing again and me into the blues. It brought me joy, new friends and a plattform I feel 100% comfortable being myself and being honest.

So, to thousand more years of the SGS and it's Family!!

Hm, I didn't learn nearly enough as I originally wanted to when I joined the school when it started.

However, the thing I did learn were eye-openers:
    - The CAGED system for scales, arpeggios, and chords
    - economy picking
    - music theory

Looking forward to learning a bunch of new stuff this year. Hence why I ask any of you to give me a private message reminding me to get back to doing stuff should you see me dipping for more than a week :)).

    Wow! Happy Birthday SGS!
I've been using the school even before I got my first guitar! I would scavenge around the school whether it was in the lesson videos or the forums picking up tips to make starting out easier. Once I got my guitar I started using the site even more. My playing most definitely be where it's at if I hadn't learned about this school. Along with being able to have some awesome conversations with some awesome people.

A little tip to get a girl from a girl who's been a girl her whole life:

Be confident and don't get mad at her if she isn't in to you immediately. I have a VERY strict type and personality I go for but for a few guys I bent the rules for them. Couldn't even BEGIN to give them a chance because crybaby behavior was a mad turnoff. Most women can't stand a sob-story guy where they're always negative and depressing to be around

in 2 years this school got so popular that companies like FENDER started doing the same things.. and charging their customers almost 75 a month to view the content.many places and sites now are offering lessons online..but syn is still one of the fee offering it free. I still link the site all over to people struggling while paying for their lessons.

I learned how to use the metronome to practice my solos, I learned that there was exercices to practice techniques, I didnt know that at the time x') Also, that I can play everything that I want, just need to practice and believe in myself. Im more confident to post stuff and made a lot of new friends 💙🤘

PS: Best @Jak Angelescu 's quote right here: "...tip to get a girl from a girl who's been a girl her whole life"
    I love this 😂
