Hi guys and gals and everyone in between! As we approach the new year, I look back on what an amazing 2018 this has been for me musicially. I went to college and achieved a great grade for music, I developed much further than I thought possible in my drums and I started to take guitar much more seriously and therefore improve upon it much more, of course the help being directly at the school, so thanks Syn, Papa and your team for that!!
As musicians, I strongly believe that it is important to have goals to work towards as it keeps us clear minded and driven.
Going into the New Year, I’ll have myself a list of guitar goals and a way to execute these goals as well. I.e, I want to learn Cirice by Ghost.
It’s also important for us to be able to see our journey and our improvement over the year, it allows us to recognise if a certain practice regime is working for us or if not, then we can change the way to rehearse.
So how about this, everyone who has ONe goal or more (guitar playing or otherwise), post it on this forum topic! In a years time, we can come back and see how far we got, what we learnt from achieving this goal, what practices worked, what didn’t, etc etc
Better yet, film yourself learning the goal you want to achieve on Jan 1st and then again on Dec 31st to inspire us all! You could watch yourself go from 50bpm sweeps to 150bpm sweeps, wouldn’t that be amazing!
