Help me figure out which scale sounds best

Few weeks ago i posted a challenge response to jak in writing a song. I have an idea of how to expand to the bridge and ending chorus but the issue im having is finding which scales work best. The first chord is a c (d standard) next two are the tricky. If i use the notes on their own.. i use

Theres a good mix in there. Any tips?

From the top of my head I would say G melodic Minor is a scale you can use over this(or a mode of that scale for that matter). Not sure how that tab is tuned but that is if it is in standard. That B note kinda falls outside the scale but you just can just throw it in over the chord that has a B in it.

D standard. So itd be 2 frets up for standard tuning. Ideally there is no shredding in this song. Its just a slow progression to the end.
