Today I decided to go get some strings for my electric. I come home, start putting them on and when I got to the 3rd string(g string) I accidently cut the string to short from the tuner when I was measuring and i wasn’t able to use it as a G string. Stupid me. So after that I decided to use the G string as my B string, and use the B string as my G string. I finished up and put it in tune and everything seemed fine. Other than the fact that my G string(which should really be my B string) was really easy to bend. Anyway I sat down and started playing “Lost” by A7x, and I noticed when I got to the chorus that the D string was making a really weird out of pitch buzz at the 17th fret. None of the other 5 strings do that on the 17th fret. The note should be a G when I play it but it has an annoying buzz and it makes it sound like a G# when it’s really only a G. It has to be because of the screw up I made with putting on the B and G strings. But it’s the D that is affected? I’m confused. Advice is much appreciated
