Masks are the only answer. I work in a crowded building with thousands of employees. What we learned when we got hit by corona is that simple face masks are VERY powerful at slowing/stopping the spread of the disease. It's uncomfortable for a while but whatever.
I know, we use masks all the time out of home.
Problem is that my kid is disabled and goes to a special school with other disabled kids. He can wear a mask but when he gets uncomfortable he starts chewing it.
All those kids are absolutely lovely but it’s very difficult to make them wear masks and keep a safe environment at school because many of them have sensory issues and can’t stand feeling something on their faces. Others lack totally self control of their behavior and hug and kiss other people whenever they feel like and it’s nearly impossible to stop them cause they need it for self regulation. Others are like big babies with their ravies covering everything they touch because they bring everything to their mouths... I could go on and on telling more difficulties... I work in a special school too...also I am totally sure that every worker of the school will do their best to keep the kids safe, but it’s unavoidable to have mommy’s worries 🤷‍♀️

It's difficult to get kids to stay in masks anyway, without close supervision, and it wouldn't be long before some dumbasses went around coughing on smaller kids and saying "I GAVE YOU COVID, YOU'RE DEAD!" and freaking people out. My son is doing distance learning. It's by no means ideal, but I'm glad that's the situation.

I barely have time to scratch myself lately. We have been in stage 4 lockdown for 3 weeks now, mandatory masks, limited travel from home and night curfews among other restrictions. As a result I have both kids schooling from home by day and my afternoons/nights are spent maning vehicle checkpoints during curfew, patrolling shopping precincts and the train network and guard duties at hotel quarantine locations.

2 more weeks and I get a couple of weeks leave, can't wait!

it’s crazy to think that we’re all trying to go back to a new normal and yet the C-word has completely ravaged my department at work between supply chain issues and preparing for the flu season... lots of overtime being done here! That was my excuse for not practising as much. Right now my excuse is that my left index fingers has stitches in it. Hah :cautious:

I think it's ravaged almost everything and everyone, to some degree or another. In the US it's dragging on way too long, and a lot of people are itching to get back to living. Unfortunately, the itchiest are also the ones most reluctant to wear a mask and social distance, which will only prolong the problem.
