I have a question for you guys(the more opinions the better😅)

So, I ordered a recording interface which I can use to record guitar and vocals. Since I make lessons sometimes (I kinda make them on request so make some requests if you want to) and I started thinking, what if I out the lesson in soundslice and compose a backingtrack along with the lessons similarly to how PG and Syn do it. For example I promised Ailee like a billion years ago to make a lesson on Picking(sorry it still isn’t there(same for the minor swing lesson) and I would come up with some licks utilizing the different ways of picking(economy, alternate etc.) and compose a backingtrack to come with the lesson so you can use it to practice the different ways of picking. Would you guys like me to do this?

Just a small update.
I got my interface but then I realized you apparently kinda need a midi-controller to program drums and I don’t have one(yet)
After I get one I have to get used to the whole thing but after I do I’ll make a bunch of lessons for you guys(requests would still be nice)!

Any sound card (even on-board) has a built-in MIDI controller, Ids. You just need to figure out how to configure the MIDI interfaces and such. Do you have a drum program?

Yeah, it came with a drum plugin(and speaker, a microphone, saw). I’m using studio one artist. Couldn’t really figure out how I can trigger it but if I don’t need to get a midi controller right now that would be great!

You don’t need a midi conrtoller to program drums or anythign else. You can do it in your daw with your mouse. You just drop the drum samples in your daw and then you draw the notes on the piano roll and that’s basically drum programing. Every daw is different but the principal is the same.

But you can also just open the drum plugin you got and use that as your drums instead of dropping your own samples and making your drum kit. The programing is the same, just open the piano roll and draw the notes.
