I was thinking, can we, all interested syngates school members, do a video collab almost like the bandhub idea that came up weeks ago. But just with a difference. We will chip in with our own backing tracks. Of course there will be some one to join all the 30 second clips of each member to make the full video. the basic idea comes from this video. I would love to see all play together. The following video is the thing i want.

I never got to see that video does anyone have the full upload of that?
I just saw Jak with some challenge idea in another post, I second her challenge idea where we can all figure out a mini project we can work on to the same track, and compare the different ideas we come up with.
But yeah, if theres a finished product of that video I’d love to see it.

@Ids and Jen: No matter I have been really occupied with school and studying for tests etc. So I hold no judgement on anyone. Like I said day 1 “Do what you can when you can” Im just afraid people forgot but clearly they havent
@Sayonil We did something like that a month ago. Richard O’Connor made a baking track and we played over that and put ourselves up its like 1:00 minute. I managed to fish it out and here it is

The biggest thing is that there are three different projects that people are talking about at the moment. My challenge that I had given to another student was only simply because he was asking for advice on something to do. If everyone wants to take the challenge I think that’s a great idea! Instead of making this more complicated than what it has to be, we should just have one member pick a backing track either off the school or off of YouTube for us to jam over. It doesn’t have to be long. We can only play for 30 seconds and then just simply shut the video off. Or we can have a member pick a specific challenge for the entire Community to do every week regarding the lessons. If we start having too many projects going on it’s going to get really confusing.

Yeah, I was gonna say I love the encouragement and motivation everyone has to do all these mini projects, but I feel we should aim for one at a time. The video collaboration thing I kinda expected to melt due to it being on a different site, so I’m hoping we try to avoid using outside websites as much as possible.
I’m down for a mini weekly thing tho, I think we could also make up our own back tracks eventually as well. But I definitely agree with you saying we s hould try to stick as one big group on one project. im thinking the video collab may have been too big a jump for a lot of people, so maybe a mini improv is the best route to go for now. If people really wanna use the entire back track all the power to them, but dont be afraid to do just a bit and just fade out the b ack track after a minute or whatever. WHen you’re good and ready to go longer (I’m including myself in this) then you do it, and you have all the videos to look back on after and go “wow, what a change.” Definitely good times there.
