Image too large

Well, I've uploaded pictures before but everytime I try to upload a picture it says it's too large. I've tried compressing but it still says too large. What is the maximum size for a picture and what's the best way to post it?

I have no idea about max size but when I want to upload a picture I upload them to facebook as private and then download the picture from facebook and it's a size that works

I have that problem too and usually I manage to compress the image enough, but sometimes I have to do the process two times for it to be ok for the site

Your pic is so small I'd guess the resolution has to be pretty small.

I have that problem as well sometimes. What works for me is I open the image and in the default picture thing on my laptop, I right click the picture and click resize. Sometimes it doesn't work though and I try other stuff, not sure what though
