My point wasn't that testosterone plays a role in your music taste. My point was that metal reeks of testosterone, so it will naturally be more appealing to men on the surface level. Maybe I wasn't clear when I said that.A lot of interesting thoughts spoken here. One thing I can say as a grown up woman and a psychologist is that music preferences have nothing to do with testosterone.
For example, watch this video. As a psychologist, how many women you think would be appealed to this sound and visual presentation compared to men?
And you can cite extreme sports like UFC in the same category as this. I don't understand what's the fuss about something being inherently more appealing to men or women. That's just the way things are, it's called biology. Yes, people are different, obviously. But still, it's okay for something to be more appealing to one gender than the other.
