So I got some strings yesterday and I took it out then on the b string the string was bent when I took it out of the package this keeps happening should I change where I get strings from or is it something I’m doing. By the way the strings where ernie ball power slinky

I had this issue once and it caused intonation issues, although the bend was my fault. If they’re bent while still in the package you might be able to return them, I would call the store first though because I’m not sure how you’d prove it.

I didn’t have the receipt because it’s a pack of strings I thought it would be fine I was wrong. And I’m getting a new pack soon so I will tell them about it

When you are changing the strings make sure that the ball end of the string goes all the way up cause one time I was changing my strings and I didn’t make it go all the way up and started tuning it and at one point the ball end jumped all the way up and my string got detuned and was bent where you pick cause it had been sitting in the bridge for a while. Hope you can understand what I’m trying to say
