Metal Guitar with EMGs for 600€ ?

I played the epiphone Prophecy with 81/85 EMGs for over a year now but now the Bridge Pickup doesnt Produce any Sound anymore (it might bei the Switch thats broken)
Anyway I can get the Money back, 600€ and I Wonder what you would suggest me instead. I don’t want to miss the EMGs because I Love playing Bullet for my Valentine songs. So I might buy the Same one as Well. Still I’m curious what you would buy with that Money

I just checked my wishlist on Thomann and I see some Gretsch models, D’angelico, Jackson, Gibson(weiddly enough there is a Firebird for only €350), Ibanez and Chapman in there for about €600. So I’d probably buy one of those.

I would suggest looking at guitars without them and factoring in the cost of a set.
Installation is really simple and it allows you to have a wider choice of guitars to pick from.

Not sure how close the price is, but I’d got for a PRS Holcomb SE.

@dan the set would almost cost around 200 Euro so what’s left might not be enough to get a great quality guitar. At least chances are lower than for 600. Also installing active pickups is in no way easy if the model did not already have actives..
@Ed, I am personally not a fan of the look of the PRS guitars but checked anyway, it’s around 1.000 Euro haha

Yikes! The SE’s are cheaper here. I think the Holcomb sells for about $800 US, which should be about 700€.

Don’t go for EMGs… Go for passive pickups! And get yourself a PRS Standard 24 or 22. Those have amazing quality no matter which price range you’re looking at.

Ed- a PRs 24 standard is €577 on Thomann but I have no clue what the shipping costs would be but If Dominik doesn’t like the shape of the PRS he should probably get a different guitar

@anton I am used to the Power of EMGs and don’t want to buy Something else blindly. Also as I Said I am personally Not a PRS fan.
Now I know many people don’t Like EMGs but since I know what they can and one of my all time Favorite Bands uses the 81/85 combination I think I Go with the Same guitar again
