Again, just a random guy on the internet so don't take my opinion too seriously. I think it is just personal opinion, it's a gut reaction opinion of someone. In your lessons, Brian: you seem like a genuinely nice guy, I don't get any of that douche-like vibe from you like I do with this dude. It's just personal preference, he seems, to me, to talk down to people who don't know as much as him, no doubt he would be the nice guy to you and Syn, because you guys are well known and are greatly knowledgeable, but with some random plebe like me? Nope.

He actually didn't know who I was when I met him - and was very nice. It was about a year later when he found out I was Syn's dad. He also was not familiar with anything I had done. But I hear you. Certain people rub you the wrong way. For whatever reason. I can only tell you my experience. I have no skin in the game. You're allowed to not like him. lol
