1st of all I would like to thank you immensely for uploading such a f******* gorgeous solo. I am not actually familiar with that song of theirs so I clicked on it just to listen to it and it literally brought tears to my eyes. The playing on this solo is so incredibly beautiful.
Now as far as your question goes. How far are you on it already? I will tell you this much. I was on the same journey as you with another avenged sevenfold song and the more I Uploaded my riff work the more I got feedback on it and I had some students helping me with little random nuances. So why don’t you start by uploading what you know??And we can definitely take it from there. I know that for me, it was a long journey and I will tell you that looking at other guitarists playing it did not help at all. You are going to want to slow the song itself down, slow multiple videos on YouTube down, and watch them 25000 times. And then upload your videos here, let us correct you, and you will go and watch them another 25000 more times. Do the lessons on here and your ear training will get substantially better! I will tell you it is not going to be a quick fix and no one is going to be able to sit down and teach it to you note by note. These are the steps I had to do to learn the solos that I know now

I’m not that good at figuring how to play something by ear but what you can do is look at the tabs for the studio version of warmness on the soul and then learn that and after that slow the video down and listen to the each note and everytime you hear that he plays a different note try figuring it out. Also the part from 1:47 – 1:52 is actually a tiny part from the fermi paradox solo so look at the tabs of that song and you’ll already know how to play a tiny portion of this live solo.
