New Billy Talent!

Billy Talent just released a new song called Forgiveness I + II. I really like the song. It sounds a mix of multpiple genres and the guitarwork is not too hard but very good.
I would love to learn the song but I am lost without tabs or at least a good youtube cover.


What do you guys think of the song and do you even like Billy Talen?

I love Billy Talent. They are one of my favourite bands. Ian D'Sa is also one of my favourite guitarists. His playing is really different and he loves those wide ass chords that make your hand stretch all over the neck which is quite challenging to play but it's a good exercise. The song is awesome, I really like it and i love the sax that comes in the second part. It sounds amazing.

My hearing works mostly relative(like hearing whether it's correct with respect to something else) it isn't absolute so I need my guitar around to properly do this

The songs that I enjoyed playing the most were Red Flag, Fallen Leaves, Suprise Suprise, Devil in a Midnight Mass, Saint Veronika, Vikings Death March... I just really loved the way you were supposed to play those riffs. I guess you could say they were my cup of tea . Vikings Death March is one of the songs that has a really wide chord. Your first finger is on the first fret and your pinky is on the fifth and you have to change the chords really quickly so it's not that simple .

Yeah Saint Veronika isn't really that popular but it has a simple riff that's a great exercise for your picking hand and another great riff that happens somewhere in the middle of the song.

This is the first time I am listening to Billy Talent. I can't pinpoint but I get such a familiar vibe from it, some style of music I used to listen to years ago. Just I can't point out. But sounds dope. Love the riff based approach and the blend of genres.
