That is THE thing I love Syn for. And I’m glad that he finally did a video of this! His newest solos on The Stage OOZE with “inflection” and they’re some of my favorites!

Inflection is huge for me, i am not great at playing fast (I mainly play bluesy with some sweeps thrown in) so why not take that as something great? Playing fast isn’t everything and even though I would love to be able to shred like syn, papa G and others It is always important to make things are pleasent to listen to. If you can’t play fast then just take what you can do and put tonnes of feel and power into it.

I was practicing the master class solo while I found these videos, so skipped onto the part at 3:14 (on the masterclass solo) and I love playing that part now, the “inflection” is so apparent on that section of the solo. you honestly need to play it to fully feel the bends and vibrato, something you don’t quite feel just by watching it.

Nope, I was refreshing the website today and saw that the t-shirts were available for preorder, these videos were linked with the t-shirts and then they disappeared a little while after.

That 2!d video is awesome! Even though I’m a little bit confused as to what counts a inflection he names vibrato, bends and slides but I’m wondering are rakes also inflection? Because I use rakes a lot in my playing

I think it would constitute, Ids! Rakes add a lot of aggression

@Ids, I’d say from his definition, it’s anything that adds personality to the notes, so yes – rakes would definitely be included.
