Yes and adding to that though, it's still important for me to bring the songs to the most polish form I could give them before moving on! Carefully choosing your focus can make a huge difference!

Damn must have had an effect on you since, you know, it wasn't nickelback... thanks dude! :giggle:

Thank you so so much Ari, it means a lot!!! And yeah, people seem to really REALLY be digging Forward. It has something to it...!
Ooops sorry, I just woke up when I wrote this and ACTUALLY clicked on a Nickelback song on spotify. Your stuff is okay though

I agree with the training of creativity. You will never be a good writer of you don't write bad music first. You'll find your mistakes and you'll remember for next time. It happens faster then you think it does. That's why so many punk banks "sell out" and end up on the radio.

    Wajooo, this is killer!

I has some iron maiden left in my que so that kinda came up in between madness of others and into the unknown and you know how you sometimes can have a song after a song you really like that's kind of not as good as the first one so you skip? I didn't have that with your songs. Yes I'm comparing into the unknown with the legacy by Iron Maiden in terms of how much I like it and it's very close to equal.

    Very well done!

I also added the songs to this playlist if you don't mind

Some wonderful and creative stuff here! I dig it! The first tune has a very Megadeth vibe in some places, but the vocals remind me of a more obscure band called Woods of Ypres. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!
Man thank you so much for taking time to listen to it! I really REALLY appreciate this! And yeah oddly enough, people hear a lot of different influences when listening at all the songs which makes me feel like I blended many different element together! I'll take it! I never heard of woods of Ypres, I am very curious now...!

Thank you so much Ids for such a nice compliment! Man, being compared to Maiden? Alright that's great!! But thank you so much for taking time to listen to this AND to add it to the School's playlist! I appreciate that!

See, my name is Radu and one easy nickname for me is ''Rad''. Now, english has the expression ''Rad'' .So I always get confused for a split second when people use the expression ''Rad'' because i think they talk about me 😅
Ohhhhh I get it! I'll make sure I'll be clear next time 🤣

After watching the video i have a few points I wanna make here.

Very professional workshop.. I dunno if you do these regularly or if it's your first.. the layout.. research and presentation was perfect. And altho I knew most of the info I also learned a couple tricks I didn't know like the collaboration trick. I'm the type who aims for 1 takes a lot and struggle at times so definitely need to look at that.

If there is a follow up it'll be interesting to see what else you can add to as you went over a lot of material. Definitely something to look back and review even if you watched it live. I myself don't have any questions as most of the material I had an idea of but the trick to record clean is one I also didn't think of.. the only down fall here is if you have a riff that's meant to sound delayed it may take some takes to get right. I guess it'd be situational. Lots of respect towards a fellow Canadian.. if you were a little bit closer I'd suggest the idea of working together but I think Montreal is l a bit too long a drive lol.

Are there other things you learned on your schooling that you didn't cover? Anything related but not really producing. Just curious to know what the school covered ... and the cost of your semesters.

Hey thank you so much for taking the time to watch the replay! I really appreciate that!! 🙏🙏

This was my first so I am really glad you thought it was professional because that's what I aimed to do. I believe very hard that initial presentation brings a lot to the table! I am really glad I still managed to show you something you didn't know and spin your perspective a bit! That was my goal!

And yes, there are many things I haven't covered since I was very limited with the time and trying to fit such a complex subject into a one hour format. There are many different branches that I originally wanted to cover like a bit of music business, diving more in details in a lot of those chapters... but I had to make compromises to keep it as a good introduction for anyone who is unaware of those concepts! As for the school costs, I am not sure how much it is nowdays anymore. Not gonna lie, it is an big investment but it was worth it if you ask me personally!

I am looking forward to what the futur might bring, we'll see what comes next :)

Yeah I remember in toronto they wanted around 20k a semester for music production and theory. I couldn't afford it. I looked at syn and how he went to school and thought it'd be cool but waay too much. That's 100% the reason I liked the idea of the school. You know he's giving you info he learned from school.

But truly dude you wouldn't know that was your first time. Couple stumbles but I think that's normal for everyone. You did a great job.. if you do any more it'll be interesting to see what thr school will wann Learn more on. I think you're at a point where you could answer a question with a video and make short videos over a workshop if you couldn't gather the time for it again. I think they are that good that you'd really.only need to do it like.that but a work shop would work again too.

Once I sit down and really listen to your tracks I'll let you know what I think of your music.
