I’ve been thinking about writing a small article on the physics of a guitar just for fun for a while now. So I’m wondering are there people here whi would be interested in that? If so I’ll probably start writing it in April/May/June depending on when I have time

I did a project in my high school physics class on the harmonics on guitar, and I had to demonstrate harmonics to my class using my guitar. Of course that was the day I couldn’t hit any harmonic to save my life. 😂 I looked like I didn’t know how to play at all.

When I got my first active pickup guitar (the one I use now) I was in Calculus physics 2 and we were learning about current and magnetic fields and all I could see is the schematics of my guitar. Honestly knowing some of the physics behind it is very helpful in knowing about maintenance, harmonics and rationale of theory. Id be down 🙂

ooh for me calculus 1 was like limits and stuff like that, calculus 2 was divergence theorem and stuff like them and for E and B fields we get electricity and magnetism( which is vasically surface of a sphere, ampere’s law and stuff like that)
