There is a song I really dig at the moment and I want to jam along to it. But I am a theory noob and can’t figure out any way to make it sound good. Also I am no good at figuring out notes, keys etc.
However, I just googled it and on the site tunebat it says the song is in the key B Major.
Any tips how to approach this?

As Andrew said you can try and follow the vocal line. I can’t check right now but if it actually is in B major you can fairly easily find some notes that work using the B major scale(B C# Eb E F# G# Bb)
I wouldn’t mind trying to figure out a scale for you that works but I can’t do that right now.
    That’s a cool song!
    Have fun!

When I made a Childish Gambino – Redbone cover I had to figure out how to play the vocals on the guitar. There were no tabs on the internet but I remembered that there are videos of songs just being played on a piano so i just looked at the notes that were playing the vocal melody and then transcribed them on the guitar. Unfortunately I think there are no piano videos for your song but maybe you can download an app called “Melody Scanner” which listens to any music and then it gives you the notes, although I don’t think that it will work because in your song there are a bunch of instruments playing at the same time an it will probably confuse the app. So I have no idea what you can do, maybe just figure out the chords and go from there, maybe you’ll be able to figure out the vocal melody.
