Been sick for the last week, so I haven’t been on the website in quite a while, but I have been finding it more difficult to practice. It’s way too mentally exhausting practicing any advanced techniques or revise theory. Any good simple practicing exercises? Thanks.

Hey Ben I am just getting over being sick and tbh take a break and then when your better come back to it. Just thinking on what to do in scale patterns or what the artist is doing, you will see some (not much) but some improvement.

Also there’s this thing called the little freter it’s like 30 20 dollars. It’s pretty cool you can practice chord shapes it’s only 6 frets. But it’s something I should get and I recommend

I’ve been sick last week, too. At some days I couldn’t play longer than 10 minutes without getting a headache. I did the normal stuff, some scales, nothing I had to think about. Just stop if you are feeling exhausted. It’s good if you pick up the guitar because you don’t loose the feeling for it but if you practice being exhausted your playing will probably not really benefit from it.

yeah, I’d just put the guitar down man. When you are sick you tend to not really be focused anyways and chances are you’ll forget most of what you are doing when you feel better. So might as well save yourself the first take and just rest. lol

Also its worth mentioning that if your really sick (colds you might weasel your way out of this) but if really sick ie) flu you can actually damage your guitar. The bacteria making you sick come in contact on your hands and if you play hard you therefore transfer them to the guitar and this screws up your sound like do you eat Cheetos then play w/o washing your hands?
