Problems with an old Squier!!

Not sure if it’s the angle or my eyes, or if I’m right, but it looks like the “tip” part of that Jack is broken off? The cable you plug into it is in two parts, separated by a plastic ring near the tip. There are also two parts of the Jack - one to touch each part of the male cable end. It looks like the top-touching part is gone? That would be your problem right there.

Nevermind. It was my eyes. I looked on a different screen, and I can see it. Slide a cable into that jack while it's out though. See if the cable goes in snugly and makes contact in both places.

@ari.mac From what I've read and understood in this thread, it's likely that the input jack is just internally faulty, since you mentioned that it's an old guitar. Replacing the input jack won't burn a hole in the pocket, so you might wanna have it changed

Yeah, I tried and I think it makes contact, and it makes a lot of noise
