So.. I’ve been looking up the prices on the pieces I’m gonna need for the rebuild of the discontinued guitar.
So far I’ve found the bridge and pick ups. When I’m curious to know is where to get the wood to shape the pieces. Saw some places but most arent thick enough. Any suggestions?
Once I’m in a financial position this is going to happen. And its gonna be better then ever. I refuse to allow someone to get the better of me or my guitars. Take me out I’ll come back stronger.
Any tips as this will be my first real build.

I don’t know about the woods and tips to get it. A tip I have regarding building is to really be very precise with your scale length and where you put the frets. Especially getting the frets wrong makes the guitar completely unplayable (getting the scale length wrong doesn’t have to be a disaster but still important). Frets are used to shorten the string, i.e. shorten the length of the string. Make sure you have your calculations right to find out how long the string has to be for each note(or maybe look it up on the internet)

To Ids’ point, making your own neck is inadvisable. There are a number of companies that make precision necks with a number of different joint types to satisfy the need. I would NOT recommend making your own neck from scratch unless you’re an expert woodworker. Someplace like this might be able to help you:

The body would be doable. There are several places to get guitar quality wood. The neck is a different story. ESPECIALLY if this is your first build. Without thousands of dollars worth of jigs and woodworking tools, probably not possible. I would hit up REVERB or Ebay and buy a Revenger and cannibalize it. They had bolt-on necks – so you could at least start with that and then build your own body.
    Good Luck!

I am going to ask my music store long and mcquade for assistance on the difficult parts. Like shaping everything. I found a template to trace.

Definitely used for a guidance point then anything. Like I said this is gonna be a challenge. But it is going to happen. The guitar will eventually make a return.
So far I found 85 to 100 for the tremolo.
Pick ups about 100 for both. I found some on reverb as well.
The rest I havent quoted yet. But those 2 were cheaper then I expected. The tremolo series I’m picking is the one that was on the guitar. So it’s a cheaper one. But I picked it for a reason. Many months down the road but I’ll keep everyone updated on the progress.
Ids I have debated e mailing schecter but I dont have the spare cash yet. And I doubt theyd hold it for me. There was one on the custom shop… for 4k lol
By Christmas I’ll be able to figure out that. This is ideally plan b.
