I watched the part you’re talking about, even though I had a pretty good idea what you meant – you described it well. The hint is not in the notation – his embellishment is not notated. The key is to think of it more like a ghost note- it happens slightly before the beat and is not held for ANY period of time. The minute you strike the note, you’re already sliding, and you’re on the written note AT the beat of the measure.
It’s a feel thing which makes it harder to describe. You could almost write it like:
——(6)/7——
with the 6th fret note not being struck definitively. If you’re still not getting it, we can do a Skype in the next few days maybe.
