I wanna know how bands decide which countries they are going to tour. Do they choose the ones they are 100% sure they are going to make profit or do agencys or promoters call them and invite them to play or what. I’m not really familiar with that so I wanna know. The reason I wanna know this is because I wanna see Avenged live one day but they’ve never been to my country (Croatia) and I noticed that there are a lot of contries in europe they haven’t played yet and I don’t wanna wait forever cause I might never see them. Is it because some countries just don’t have the market for it and it’s just not worth touring or what?
I guess the next time they play in Austria I’ll have to go see them cause it’s the closest thing to home 😀

I think so. Usually going on tour costs a lot of money especially if you have a big stage production and a crew(you need to pay for that too). So it kinda needs to be economically justified to go to a place so they usually play places where they think they can at least make as much money as they spend.

If you ever wanna see them, you should try to make a vacation out of it. Save up, travel spend a week somewhere or a few days, and see them. This one guy, at the hamilton show.. Matt may remember him. He came all the way from ISREAL. 16 hours.. matt signed his flag. Sometimes the trip is worth it.

Yeah I think I’ll go see them the next time they are in Austria cause it’s like 2 hours away. As a kid I used to think that a band could tour any country they wanted and I hopelessly waited for a7x to come to my country but then I realised that maybe it’s not that simple. So the next time they are gonna be near I’m definitely going totocause see them cause I don’t wanna miss out 😀

I was in the music business for about ten years…it’s a strange and complex machine. I could write a looong detailed explanation but i’d be here on the toilet most of the day and probably lose circulation to my legs lol..long story short..”Markets” is a term that gets thrown around a lot in the industry.. And how well a certain band does in a certain “market”. “Radio” hah that’s another word that fills a HUGE portion of the pie chart that represents a bands success and also has a major influence on a bands touring schedule. “Markets” and “Radio” go hand in hand…
