Question for Syn

If you see this:
What is the sound effect you use in “Angels” during the chorus. In live videos I see you use a pedal to make that mysterious wailing noise and I’ve always wondered how to do it.
Also, any advice on keeping your pinkie under control when sweep picking? In all of your etudes your fingers all seem to steadily glide along right over the strings where as mine don’t. Any advice?

For the gliding over string and the pinky part I think it really is just a lot of practice(like a lot). Try to incorporate your pinky when you practice and start slow and slowly increase the tempo. And stay at one tempo untill you feel incredibly bored
