Saving for a different guitar?

I am left handed and I have always been thinking about if it would be worth getting a left-handed guitar. Would it be worth it to save for the guitar?

Yes it’s definitely worth it. Left-handed guitars are made for people who are left-handed and I don’t think they are more expensive than right-handed guitars. If you are left handed and want a new guitar I would advice to get a left-handed guitar.

I have my righthanded one but I only found it useful for the frets to be honest. But I will try to get one in the future

Hello Daniel! I would strongly encourage you to save for a left handed guitar. There was a student not that long ago who posted up on the forum that he believes being dominantly Left handed but learning guitar right handed has hindered some of his abilities and now hes fearing he has to re learn left handed. I have a friend who is dominantly left handed and struggles playing guitar right handed even though she has played for 10 years. Ironically though she doesn’t have a problem playing left handed even though she hardly plays it that way

What makes me really nervous is how I can handle the fretboard with my right hand

Just try it out first and see if you can do it. My dad is right-handed and has been so his whole life but he plays golf and does a couple other things as a lefty would. Just see what works best for you.

Just choose whichever feels right to you, I’m left handed and play right handed guitar and I have no regrets in that respect.
