So, Tyler Larsen ("Music is Win") had an itch to try a fretless guitar, so he called Paul Reed Smith (how cool would that be?), and Paul one-upped him with a better idea: The guitar is fretted up to the 11th fret for clean chords and melodies, and then fretless after that for some very slide-y playability.
