Hey Everyone!
Just checking in. My road schedule has been grueling over the past few months. I’m looking forward to dedicating some quality time to the school.
We are experiencing some growing pains with the site in regards to video posting and comments. We will get it sorted out as quickly as possible. It seems that diving into even the simplest problems results in uncovering deeper and more difficult problems. This site is woven together very tightly. Pull at one loose thread and all hell breaks loose! It’s like a game of digital Jenga.

Are you sure we can ask you anything
The one thing I’m wondering about is whether your blues record will be released anytime soon?
Besides do you guys plan to give some sort of theoretical analysis of songs you really like in the school to give some songwriting advice?(like songs written by beatles, Django Reinhardt, rolling Stones, B B. King etc.)

Haha! Well almost anything.
Syn and I have discussed doing some songwriting videos. Songwriting is such a nebulous thing. You can analyze a song to death after it has been written, but I promise that analysis didn’t happen when the songwriter was writing it. So much happens by ear and feel – and that’s something you can’t teach. Songwriter’s just know when it’s “right”. Or at least “right” to them. However, there are many parts of writing that come under the heading of “craft” that can be shared.
I would love to tackle it. Just one more thing on our list!

Songwriting is a painful process for me mainly because of how my views change. I could come up with a riff and play it, track it and then come back to it and have not the slightest clue on how the hell i came up with a fretboard disaster XD. Its getting there but Its definitely an art form.

Definitely, songwriting is a pain! It takes a lot less to learn a song someone else wrote than it does to write your own.
One site issue I’ve had is the little notification bell keeps showing me that I have notifications after I clear it. Generally, it takes like a week to get caught up.
One personal suggestion I’d like for the site is more customizable profile pages. Custom artwork in the back, maybe featuring bands you’ve been in or something of that sort. Just a bit more flair to each individual page.
