I’m blown away. This is so awesome. I wasn’t around much lately and just watched all the videos here. It is quite nice that they are short. I don’t have to have much time to get your great input from these one minute videos. So thank you so much. You are so helpful
Something I realized is that patience is so important. (And I have to realize it over and over again) When I take my guitar I often want to jump right into what I am working on and most times this isn’t a good idea because my fingers aren’t warmed up and my playing is sloppy. Then I do some finger exercises and most times my playing gets much more fluent.

Been thinking of uploading a vid more for when you´re absolutely and utterly lost, you have no idea about scales or any of that but you do have something which is quite important which is the feel you want to convey. Whether you have a full lyric ready to go or your song is only in the beginning of its development, everything is born out of a certain idea which also conveys a certain emotion. The “technique” I use is to just rest my hand over the guitar like a bass, forget all picking technique and progressions I´ve learned and just feel out the notes and what every specific note conveys to me. From here you can google up a scale with those notes and start thinking up your solo, and also start speeding it up and shredding it if you want to. Just wanted your guys opinion on if that´s any help at all or if I´m just being weird…

Hi, all! As a beginner,I really wanted to try to hop into the discussions a bit more than I usually have. I want to be more active in this community. I decided to try to hop in the discussion with a video…it’s my first one discussing one of the forum topics..I don’t think I have to say “everyone please be nice”, but please do! Hope I didn’t hurt your ears or bore you too much!

@rowan that was SOOO awesome! You have NO idea how happy I am that we’re getting some beginners posting because they all are sharing such wonderful, valuable information. And Syn said it once, “I like the beginners because I forgot how I learned certain things, but they’re going through it now so they know how to teach it to overcome the obstacles other beginners may have.”
You had such great information on here!! Since Syn needs the videos down to 1 minute long, If you want me to, since you have so much awesome info in here I can cut it into 3 one-minute segments and you will have 3 different videos of advice.
BTW: I’m your biggest fan!! You’re so lively in front of the camera and I’m so proud that you took that step forward in overcoming your nerves to speak to us
