Ooh I already watched this one and he’s so right here. It can rest help you when you get a glimpse of what’s actually going on in a solo! The funny thing is that at the park where he says ‘you know where to grab stuff’ he’s basically saying learn the caged system because that’s what it really is!
His playing at the start is absolutely incredible too btw!

I dont think people understand the power that the CAGED system has, I certainly didnt know you could make hits from just that thought you needed all yhiese complicated scales (not saying you shouldn’t learn them of course). And yeh hes pretty good, might start listening to his stuff.

This is one of those videos what should be shown to everyone who picks up the guitar and want to learn.
Whenever you learn a lick or riff, learn the basis, the building block too (which scale, which chord, which position…)
(i don’t believe tho’ that he doesn’t know what the Ionian mode is :dd)
