Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here. I’m here to share my past and start the beginning of my future. I joined this beautiful school the first day it came out. Synyster Gates is why I even bothered buying a guitar and it was because I wanted to be able to do what he does, play guitar. I wanted to be able to shred and solo. That being said, just about what feels like a year later I’m here and still haven’t even gotten up to five lessons done. Why? I’ve procrastinated and it’s disappointing for me, however it’s changing. Sure I’ve learned little things I’m proud of and I’m self taught but I’ve been holding myself back. I currently at the moment know I have a Synyster Gates School poster in my house and it affected me. I realized how much time I’ve left go when I could of used it for learning! That’s why starting now I’m going to. I’m committing to it and I am excited. I’m sharing that because I’m sure there are others out there that are in the same boat as me. They love guitar and wanna learn but have sat around just procrastinating. Today, it changes for us all. Join me in starting this amazing journey. Thank you. @alex YES!!! I LOVE this post SO much! I actually needed this today!! Why? Because I AM in the same boat as you! I’ve been on this school since February and I have only gotten up to lesson 25. Most of the stuff I already knew beforehand so I didn’t need to spend much time on. But truly only about 4 lessons I’ve spent a lot of time on. And that will change. Procrastination is our own thief of time, for sure. For me it was a mix of doing online lesson videos, tutorials, writing, learning A7X songs, and so much more. But I’m ready as well to start taking the school itself more seriously! What is your plan of action?
I plan on doing the 100 Days Of Practice challenge where each week I work on ONE lesson in specific and I plan on putting up a video here about it in the beginning of the week and then showing my progress with the lesson at the end of the week. I look forward to your work, my friend!
