Yep. While I definitely prefer them over Nickelback, it's just not for me. The guitar playing is wicked, but as a whole it's just alright.

Yep, Goerge Lynch is great, but Don's voice, while being good, is similar to other singers of the era. How about a Dokken/'Back headline tour?

I started bendin wires on a Memphis les paul studio copy back in 81, I've had some nice axes n not so nice axes over the years. Effects n amps also, had a couple fellas that was good n a few not so much.
I guess what I'm trying to say is by my second marriage and third child in 99 i was down to a beat up old Alvarez acoustic and a nasty habit. Heck i was almost 40 then with a wife 20yrs younger (oh ya) n 2 more babies i guess music just wasn't on the front burner nemore. I taught my oldest daughter April a lil on the keyboard but she was closer to her step mom's age than mine n drifted away from rock , didn't want to play nething. Well my son Sebastian was next n he didn't really shine to playing either. But then came my youngest daughter Symphony and she loved most all music.
She could find a rhythm to a dog barkin down the street she was quick to learn the recorder at a young age a few notes n chords on a guitar and coming along nicely on the piano, but she really excelled on the ukulele and has a tenor voice that is very good. I guess what I'm trying to say is the marriage was over in 2015 i hadn't played in years i went (not willingly) n lived with the department of corrections until 2018. Got rid of that nasty habit (don't tell the kids i called her that) n the last yard i was on had a couple guitar's n a couple long timers who was looking to play. Well now i have to my life back my kids are with me and i have a schecter diamond series, a Jackson destroyer, a Yamaha rgx a 60's classical Kay acoustic a 70's champion acoustic, a line 6 spider 3 2x12, a crate G40cxl 2x10, a dean markley k50, a behrunger gx110, an old school korg ax1000g processor, a old digitech rp155 processor, an ol crybaby wah, an old cool cat overdrive, new (cheap) boss overdrive, an old boss heavy metal 2 distortion, a new (cheap) boss distortion, an old boss flanger, an old dod chorus, a mxr phase shifter, n a new mini donner (cheap) analog/digital delay, n a new mini donner (cheap) looper .
I guess what I'm trying to say is well there was a couple riffs i heard of yours while i was gone that made decide to get me a guitar when I got out n squared away, n luck just so had it that i found that ol schecter first. So believe it or not one amp has a 100 presets n another has 250 band and 100 song presets n i still can't find my sound now that's funny.
But i wouldn't have any of that equipment or trying play faster than my 60 fingers will go.
If it wasn't for you, i thank you and kids thank you.
I took my daughter to a vocal competition n tulsa earlier this year and being about the only father there, one of the judges asked me how i ever quit playing music, i said i got married n he said how'd you get back in it? N i said i got a divorce.
And turned back around and said it was because of people like you and your band and my daughter, that guy stopped laughing and damn near cried.

But in all seriousness, as someone who has been learning to sing for the past year, it's extremely common for metal singers to have nasal voices. Just try to sing any Guns'N'Roses song or listen to how nasal Axl's voice is, especially when singing high notes. The trick is to transform that nasal voice from Minnie Mouse to M. Shadows and that is not as easy as it may seem.

That being said, hating on Nickelback is so 2005. I have listened to my fair share of Nickelback because they are a very easy band to consume. But comparing these two bands is...I mean it just shows that objectively, those people do not understand music. Nickelback and Avenged Sevenfold are not similar in what they sing...not by a long shot. But hey, I guess people still haven't moved on from the looks the guys had back in 2001.

I mean, as an F1 fan, people still haven't moved on from Sebastian Vettel hitting his teammate back in 2010, so I can't say I am surprised.
