In premiere i export the mp4 file and then i use FFMPEG to convert that file to mkv and then i add the wav file which replaces the mp3 so in the end i have mp4 and wav in the mkv file.
It’s important to me that the video has a wav file and not mp3 but i also don’t want large file sizes that .avi and .mov have, so that’s why i do that.
I dont know the levels but when i record with audacity i aim for the bar to stay as green as possible without going over top to yellow for rhythm. Lead i am a bit more flexible on.. i can always turn it down if i need to. I like a bit of feedback personally.
I used to play around with mic levels but the spider 5 makes it all the same mic level for the lost part. My peavey was more difficult to record with. Always learning new methods and tricks tho. Always open for ideas.
