Looking at used ones is a good way to get a lot for your money and I think the shape of Syn’s is the avenger, so one with that shape would probably feel similar. I think he also used to use the c1 shape before he had a signature so one of those could be similar too.

You may wanna look into the Avenger. I have a Revenger, but they dont sell them anymore. The body shape is the same as syns, and I’m pretty sure you can get it in 6 and 7 strings. My Revenger was only 800 or so after taxes, but it sounds like its worth so much more.. the duncans in it blow me away.

If that’s to expensive for you you could get a c-6. When you want to play metal you kinda want humbuckers in the guitar

check out the platinum c1(its the one i have) also the banshee extreme is extremely amazing, and the omen extreme is nice and on the mid price range, buy a guitar with floyd rose at your own risk though because they give you alot of problems

If you like a floating trem, anything Floyd is the be-all end-all gold standard. I don’t need a trem on all my guitars, but my Ibanez twins have been alive for over 25 years and their Floyds make them the most dependably tuned instruments in the world. A little extra work at string change, but once stretched and tuned and locked, they are absolutely OUTSTANDING.

im not saying floyd roses are bad, they can do things that no other guitars can do, im just saying that you have to be really sure that you want a guitar with that bridge because while they are really awesome(i love mine) the floyd tends to be a pain in the butt sometimes, but if you like to divebomb it is 100% worth it

Put in the time to learn a Floyd Rose the proper way and you’ll never have an issue. It’s different but not bad. As far as the original topic, the C1 Platinum is absolutely solid. You can get a cheaper one with a fixed brighe or go up in price a bit and get one with a Floyd and a sustainiac.

If your looking for a guitar equipped with a trem, you might want to look at an Ibanez with the ZPS3 system.
My Ibanez has a edge-zero II trem with the ZPS3 system and I go from standard E to drop D tuning only using the trems fine tuning on the low E string. All other strings stay in tune.
