Underrated Songs

I wanted to share this song from Slash’s 2010 solo album, which in my opinion is SO under appreciated!
I love this track! It’s very soulful and well written. The guitar playing is so classy, exciting, yet understated to let the vocal be the focus.
And of course Beth Hart, the vocalist, kicks absolute ass on this song! What a performance!

What are some songs that deserve more love in your opinion?

That entire album is genius. I used to fall asleep to it every night. Anything off in reverie by saved the day is very under rated to me.

Obviously I’ll say that Yngwie’s recent cover is underrated, but I know that’s not what y’all want to hear so instead I’ll recommend one song as a representative sample of a guitarist who I feel deserves more recognition: Jimi Kidd.

Paul Gilbert’s uncle Jimi Kidd is an excellent blues guitarist. I prefer his style vs any of the big historical American blues guitarists, although of course this is a case of “seeing farther by standing on the shoulders of giants”. Paul Gilbert is also great at the blues, but everyone knows that he is awesome at guitar so I can’t call him underrated.

This is a new band but it has one of the most talented musicians ever, the keyboard player especially. I predict that they are gonna become big in a few years.

I’m really bad at judging whether a song is underrated or not. I would say maybe the last Arctic Monkeys album as a whole gets a lot of hate even though it’s pretty good.
