-Autotune needs to go.
-Clean vocal parts need to sound a little more agressive, filled with anger-vibe.
-Try to avoid being too nasally.
-Guitar work is
-Screaming is also
@ andrew
That shouldn’t stop you from trying! Believe me, I can’t sing either. Sounds like beached whales screaming in pain but even my horrid singing sounds better than when I autotune. Just give it a try
I’m not sure where you want to post the cover but what I noticed in the metal community(whether it is a video or a post on Facebook) autotune gets a lot of hate. Since the people who will look at your cover will be metal people the chance is tht they will judge you for using autotune by posting pretty hateful comments when you post it to YouTube. If you don’t want those there are three things you can do. make the cover instrumental(because you nailed the instrumental part!) Or practice your ass of for the singing so you can actually do it with a lot less autotune or get someone else to sing it.
You said that you recorded that in a studio, ask them if they have cubase cause cubase has variaudio where you can fix your already recorded vocals to stay in pitch. There is also a plugin called melodyne that does the same thing.
