What's the hardest guitar part you've ever had to learn?

For me there’s no doubt — it took me around ~5 months of practicing this
Lots of actual blood and holes in my fingers, and it still took me two different takes, haha
I doubt I could play it this good today, even if I really tried
What’s really funny though is when Steven Wilson plays this live, the guitarist he tours with now (ie not Guthrie) doesn’t even bother playing it
I can’t blame him, honestly

Very nice!
I would say that the main solo to Play With Me by Extreme was an intense strain to learn. The sweep picking in The Wicked End Solo was kind of like the moment when I realized I could sweep pick. That might actually be the Seize The Day outro rather, but The Wicked End is harder and definitely boosted my confidence.

I’ve got The Stage intro except for the last arpeggio, but yeah it’s a be-otch :O
It reminds me of the time I tried to learn Chris Broderick’s betcha can’t play this thing, I just gave up after like 15 minutes lol
