Some of them are just nostalgic, others probably because Im just listening more to the songs at the moment but dont really have a favourite to be honest, I think Sultans of Swing and November Rain are the ones that really stand out a bit more to me. Im sure Im missing some but cant think a lot after night shift xD

    GnR - November Rain
    Pink Floyd - Confortably Numb
    Eagles - Hotel California
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
    A7X - Second Heartbeat
    A7X - Acid Rain

I don't think I could come up with a proper list of my all-time favorites even if I spent a whole weekend on it. So what I'll do instead is just list a few favorites off the top of my head. Apologies to the hundreds of guitarists who I just happened to not be thinking about at exactly this minute.

Three of the "best of the best" I would have to put at the top of the list:
Gary Moore, "Empty Rooms" live Stockholm 1987. My favorite musical performance of all time.
    Stricken, by Disturbed
The Bluest Blues by Alvin Lee with George Harrison. This song has not one but two of my favorite solos.

    Three classic metal favorites:
18 and Life, by Skid Row
    Lay it Down, by Ratt
Crazy Train, Ozzy. Maybe the coolest rock/metal solo ever?

As a special mention, everything by Yngwie is high on my list. I might put "Crucify" at the top because the first time I heard that song was the first time in my life I ever heard really amazing guitar. I can't even explain how big of an impact that had on me. Like imagine if you went to the gym one day and you saw a man bench pressing five thousand pounds, that's what it felt like.

quick edit: Stone in Love by Journey deserves to be in this thread somewhere.

Over the Mountain-Ozzy Osbourne. My favorite solo off of Diary of a madman, and its by the late great randy rhoads! I remember the first time i heard it i got chills, and just HAD to learn it. Not to mention the obvious black sabbath influence right before the solo kicks in

    Megadeth - Tornado Of Souls

Could talk all day about this Marty Friedman solo. Beautiful piece of music within a beautiful piece of music. 6 times through the chords in B Minor. i-VI-iv-V-VII(#VII) progression. He starts with his usual teasing stuff, goes into arpeggios, blues licks, sweeps briefly as a pickup to crazy pull offs, and finally lighting fast shred in last chaotic phase which to this day no one has replicated exactly.

Lately I also discovered how great the Pantera: Shattered solo is along with Domination and of course Cemetery Gates
