Depends on how new you're talking about. I'm still pretty new to guitar as I only started back in March! At times being a new guitarist can definitely seem lonely. Feeling like you're asking a question so stupidly simple that you feel it isn't worth asking! That's what I really enjoy about this forum is that you can ask a question and not have people make fun of you for not knowing! Whether it's hand positioning to whether this chord could use an augmented 9th added to it, there is someone who can help!

Oklahoma here! I’ve been playing (messing around with no direction just tabs) since I was 14 , 29 years old now and just really been getting back into it the last few months the right way to learn (from Papa Gates videos) and I’m super excited! Finally kicking bad habits and rewatching the beginner videos over and over! I’m currently trying to soak in all the chords from the beginner lessons before heading to the caged system and super impatient but I know it’ll be worth it. Much love to Papa and Syn for making all this possible and even better FREE!! I know it took them and currently takes them a lot of time that they probably shouldn’t have to do this! Thank u so much it’s a blessing!! Just seeing how close this community is amazing!

Well, my style is actually pretty similar to Iced Earth, in terms of rhythm playing, very power metal. I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not though!

Been on the site since it started but only been posting recently! Ive been playing guitar since i was 12, am 21 now, but self taught, scales, chords theory as much info as i could find i soaked up! Now im working on technique as well
