Sarajevo 12/24 is the one most people would recognize, and there’s some great playing on it, too – this was originally a Savatage song on their 1995 album “Dead Winter Dead.” A DJ here in America started spinning it on the air around Christmas, and it caught on. BIG. One thing led to another, and TSO was formed, with that song being lifted in its entirety over to the new record – same recording and mix and everything.
I think most of the first Christmas album is fantastic.

OMG So many good ones! But my FAVORITE one has to be A Mad Russian’s Christmas. I’m a huge Tchaikovsky fan, and Al Pitrelli’s vibrato in that is just to die for! But O Come All Ye Faithful/O Holy Night is just as awesome, but I’m also a fan of Wizards in Winter. If you want a good understanding of a great vibrato and applying theory and song structure over classical music, any song of theirs really will be awesome! BTW- PLEASE upload a song when you do it! I’ll love you forever, lol!
