Here I am trying to get better at Guitar by a living legend from a little unknown band that I saw at The Attic in New Braunfels, Tx in 2000. Glad to see how far Avenged Sevenfold has come.
I didn't hear about Avenged Sevenfold till years later, around when the self titled album came out and that's 2-3 years into playing guitar. Do you play too?

It's okay, maybe you're better than you give yourself credit for. Surely you'll improve with time following the lessons path and/or skipping around for certain topics for clarity. The YouTube also has lot's of information and the community here.
I've been playing for ( I forgot ) but didn't really know what I was doing and feel like I improved a lot since starting to learn from here.
Developing some discipline that's helping me in other ways too.

I definitely gained discipline throughout the years. Plus, I’m treating everything as if I’m a complete beginner and it’s taught me a lot. Especially about music theory which I thought would hinder my creativity which I now realize is a pretty dumb way to think.
