I'm sure they use the chords as well but I wouldnt be surprised of they overdubbed the single notes as well in the recording. It definitely sounds that way atleast in the beginning riff. And the turn around.

But I'm also not a HUGE sabbath fan.

Awesome first start! Very well done! This was one of my first tunes too.

When you're jumping up to the 13th fret and going 13-12-13-12-13-12, This is slightly faster than the rest of the riff. We are playing 13-12 three times. I'd definitely recommend practicing this part of the riff on its own to make sure you get that bit 100% with the speed and slide.

Also, Tony Iommi alternates between single notes and power chords.

haha yes of course it's single notes, to be honest i found a video on youtube playing songs with one finger only and since i'm a beginner and like ironman song i clicked. yess i wanna learn its solo but kinda hard. Thank you so much dude!🤘

the transition between power chords is so hard man! i'm so slow but will keep practicing

maybe they did overdub because no video on youtube i watched sounds AS accurate as their song, who knows

by the way it's 14/13, yes it is fast and tricky but i like the slide and the sound it makes is really close to the original song
