First music written on my new 7 string.
Because work has been kind of insane recently, I have been doing these little mini projects where I throw together a little recording with double tracked guitars, bass, and programmed drums. It has helped me have fun with writing / producing even when I don't have several hours to play. Let me know what y'all think! Schecter knocks it out of the park once again with the KM-7 MKIII. It's an amazing guitar for me transitioning from only playing 6 strings my whole life. Thin neck, good setup as it came, active fishman pickups, unique finish. What more could I ask for?
It's been like two years since I posted on here, but I hope everyone is doing well. 😃 Love to see how much the community has grown. This new album is insane, I personally love it. Tons of new styles mixed in with the classic heaviness we're all familiar with. "Easier" in particular might be my favorite song on the album, being that it's kinda heavy, short but sweet, and this riff. I can't get it out of my head. I'm in Drop D flat / C# but I believe it can be played in regular drop D as well.
Sick solo in a hilarious song, this is my best attempt. Thanks for watching!
Happy Synner Sunday Everyone!!! This has a lot of mistakes in it, but it was fun to learn and fun to play, so I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did. It was a true challenge playing through the whole thing, and served as a reminder as to why learning entire songs is an important part of development. In my opinion, that applies to everyone. Learning a full song tests your concept of timing and rhythm, and forces you to drill your areas of technique which may be lacking. Last but not least, it forces you to either fix or improvise with mistakes on the fly. As you will see, there are a few times where my fingers do not end up where they should be, but knowing the song well allows me to make quick corrections. With that, I hope everyone is having an awesome day, I look forward to seeing everyone else's uploads for today! Also, that is the most comfortable fuckin hoodie I've ever worn, I was almost sweating recording this. 120% worth it.
What's going on Synners!? Happy Synner Sundays! Such a cool solo! Had to slow this down a bit, as I haven't been practicing it long. It needs some more time, but on a day like today I couldn't possibly NOT show y'all what I've been up to. I haven't been very active because of work, and it has been a rough few weeks. To add onto it all, the Instagram page went down. I believe that we can make it through these times together though, because this school has pulled me up many times, and there is no doubt in my mind that tough times will fly by with enough shredding from all of us. Hope everyone is doing great, and I can't wait to see what new things the school has planned for us!
Apologies in advance, I am not the best at speaking on camera. To expand upon my dreams for guitar and music, for now it is probably my primary hobby, I am not sure if I would consider becoming a professional musician outside of playing small gigs and jamming with my friends. I would however like to look into lutherie, as building a guitar to me is one of the finest forms of art other than playing one. Regardless, I am extremely honored to be a part of this community, proud to call myself a Synner, and hope the best for everyone who has either been around for a while or who has just joined. Thank you for checking out my entry!
