I just talked to my grandpa (by marriage to my grandma) whom i havent seen in years, And he’s from Jacksonville Florida. Well he’s seen my Lynyrd Skynyrd covers and told me he hung out and grew up around Ronnie Van Zant, the original lead singer and still talks to his daughter, melody van zant. My week has been made already

I need to stop getting sidetracked and finishing learning the ride the lightning solo i just attempted the hail to the king solo For the first time in a while and was only at like 90% speed and now i want to do that solo but i cant

Played a lot of my favorite songs tuned 2 full steps down and it was life changing, and im pretty sure i wrote my solo for the collab too.. now i just have to record it
I never thought id say this but im tired of playing solos right now, just jamming heavy riffs and different chord progressions has been the mood lately. Its a good thing my guitar is all i need to go from 0 back to 100

Been delving deep into learning theory (building scales, chords, CAGED, and memorizing the fret board) and honestly, ive never felt like ive had this much control of my guitar before!
Might be doing a metallica cover coming soon.. and not enter sandman or master of puppets but definitely off their first 2 albums

Work has been hell, i finally got over my bad cold, and i just got dumped by my girlfriend. My guitar, and you guys are my best friends right now. Yes even you, die-hard ‘Back fans. Thank you all.
