    Let’s See Your Collection!

My best collection. I've let go about half of them because I wanted other people to embrace the awesomeness of Schecter 😉 From back to front: Bottom: Schecter Deluxe Acoustic Schecter Synyster Dark Night Top: Schecter Synyster Special w/ Synyster USA pickups Schecter C-6 FR Pro Aqua Burst...

    Scales

In very basic terms - it's more of like a map - a guide - a reference point. When you're familiar with the paths & routes, shortcuts, etc., you won't be lost while playing, or fall on the 'wrong note' - for the lack of better word. I've ever shared this on one of my IG guitar guides here. I...

    There's a $ecret $anta Looming About! Check This, $ynners!

For 10 years, I've always hoped to be in a community of like-minded people who either likes to play guitar or loves Johnn- I mean, A7X - and Synner has the best of both worlds :) The people I've met before Synner weren't as nice. They love A7X, they love playing guitar, but they want all that...

Be kind, always. Before you start thrashing about the flaws of someone else's efforts & disregarding them, think about their successes first & acknowledge them. Because once you do, you'd less likely want to go on a rampage, instead, you'd want to critique in a nice manner for the benefit of...

How am I supposed to make the lower and higher notes sound good at the same time?

This might be an odd answer, but you may also wanna try different picks or different ways to pick those notes or work a tad bit more on the right 'pick attack' strength, etc. A slight angle change and also a thickness change in the pick also contributes to the output tone.

Keeping it fresh in the bedroom.............with guitars.

In response to Queen Jak's thread, I wish to share with you guys one interview session where @Syn Gates , ZV & JC talked about their experiences as stringers and overcoming difficulties picking up certain techniques, like how ZV had to learn the alternate-picking stuff & fast shreddy stuff from...

Considering Giving Up On Lead Guitar....

Expectations, my friend. Among the more hidden & dangerous, yet subconscious mistakes we tend to make is having expectations overwhelm us without us knowing. I've watched countless interviews of ZV saying that he had to force himself to learn arpeggios to play those harmonizing parts with @Syn...

Do you crank up your amp volume or guitar volume?

@Alicia Willis Inviting the police while playing The Police. Double whammy(pun intended).

Do you crank up your amp volume or guitar volume?

To my knowledge, they serve very different purposes. Because your guitar is basically an 'extension' of your amp, just that generally, your tone control is the bass, mid & treble settings all put into one knob(or two, depends). The volume on your guitar, when changed, doesn't really bring down...

How do I teach someome play guitar?

For me, I usually have a pre-lesson "interview" or icebreaker, before I usually start teaching, just so that I could teach stuff that are more towards the student's favor, which always takes a big chunk of the "boring" and "dry" stuff, because then once in a while I could refer them to something...

    Jeff Loomis Signature Jackson

No pain no gain!!! Floyd Roses are a dream to work with, as cumbersome as they sound in terms of maintenance. Reminded me of this video where M Shadows talked about having to halt their songwriting because Syn broke one string & wanted a whole new guitar from Schecter instead of replacing that...

    Stagefright/Anxiety/Imposter Syndrome

Here's my experience, if you don't mind me sharing, hopefully it helps: Nobody today would believe me if I said I was once a quiet, reserved, introvert. So naturally, i had stage fright. The day I picked up the guitar shamelessly uploaded covers and had people noticing me was the day my...

A NIGHT AT THE OPERA by Queen

First heard of queen when I watched My Chemical Romance documentaries during their early years and they kept saying how Queen is one of their biggest and main influence. Refreshing to see this from you too, Syn! :rock-hand: :rock-hand:
