I feel demotivated playing the guitar

I feel you. I have one advice that worked for me. Perspective. Maybe you can take playing guitar as a getaway from your studies - a form of relief/rest, instead of a chore or regime. Try to make it your go-to relief. If you aren't able to wrap your hands around a guitar during your rests, then...

    Sidewinder outro

I heard he played it on a ukulele. Respecting the 4-stringed instrument he is known for.

How is jazz meant to be enjoyed?

It's not about how it should be enjoyed, but when it is enjoyed hahah. Every style of music has it characteristics. Try and search on TV programs introductions, elevator music, movies, and see moments when that particular arrangement style is being played (suspense, mischief, comedic, etc.)...

    Why can't I do this?

A little 'hack' I always do is to hum out the notes I want to hear over the track, then try playing out those notes one by one on the guitar. Hope this helps!

I agree theory will make you make your music much easier, however...

That's the beauty of it. Music is so vast, we will never know 100% of it. I can bet you my Dark Night that there's no one musician who has known & heard & can explain every type of music that exists in this world. hahahah Just go with the flow, my friend. Don't stress about getting bored...

I agree theory will make you make your music much easier, however...

From my experience, to put it simply, sometimes it may be just a tad bit easier to explain things (especially if you're into teaching or just wanting to share the inspiration behind certain licks). I've been self-taught for 11 years and only recently got myself attached to a guitar teacher with...

floyd rose going out of tune

it's cool! hopefully your luthier can improve the stability. I used to have floyd rose special guitars changed all of'em to Gotoh tremolo and they are a breeze.

floyd rose going out of tune

It's a common trait of the Floyd Rose Special since it's the affordable version of the original Floyd Rose. If you got the budget to swap out to, say, a Gotoh Floating Trem, then get it done because the Gotoh trem is an amazing sub for the FR special in place of the original FR at a friendly cost.

How to reduce wrist pain after practicing?

Rest is also part of practice :) Be patient during that recovery phase. Just like how there's a rest notation in music, we need to know when to put the guitar down for a bit to take a breather. Cheers!

Whats your most fun A7X song to play?

I've had most fun with Bat Country & Hail to the King. Performed these 2 songs as a virtuoso quite a number of times - they never failed to keep the crowd alive! :rock-hand: :rock-hand:

How do I keep what I learned, and apply it?

I believe I didn't say we "can't apply". I mentioned "doesn't necessarily apply", which meant there are more than one way. Plus, as what you mentioned, we all have our own ways. Just sharing what works for me :)

How do I keep what I learned, and apply it?

To add-on too, you really, really have to go with learning and playing as many existing songs as possible. 'Application' doesn't necessarily apply to when you wanna write songs. It applies when you are picking up or learning from somewhere(jamming to favorite songs, etc.). The more you learn...

How do I keep what I learned, and apply it?

If you treat it as dry or boring, then you're not gonna be able to embrace it man. It's all part and parcel. No one other than yourself can force you to like it :) So it's your choice, buddy. If you wanna be good at something, you gotta appreciate every aspect of it! :rock-hand: :rock-hand:

How do I keep what I learned, and apply it?

Firstly, we need to remember and accept that we are human. We are not perfect, hence will forget, especially if a thing isn't that much of a significance to us,. But I'm not saying that they're totally insignificant. For me, personally, I have my go-to songs, songs that I'll always remember...
