Oh, I forgot to mention, don't ever be embarrassed that you can only play rhythm guitar, it's the meat and potato of any song. Solos are just the garnish to fancy it up. Without a solid rhythm behind it a solo is just parsley on a plate👍- Adin Shepherd

Nice work, great song choice too, picking looks good to my eyes. Leave it to do its thing to heal and practice around it, do excercises that don't require that finger, work on your right hand picking or dig into some theory.- Adin Shepherd

Guitar Choice
That's cool, and kind of what I expected to hear, but keep in mind you don't need Kirks guitar to get a Metallica tone or Syns guitar to play his solos. Both of these guitars will be awesome guitars (I have an ESP and it kicks ass!), just pick the one that best meets your needs.- Adin Shepherd

It's hard to make a recommendation without knowing why you have narrowed it down to those two guitars. What is it about those two that interest you in particular? IMO, if you are picking these soley because they are Kirk and Syn customs, you are picking them for the wrong reasons.- Adin Shepherd
