    Vibrato, like you already knew, and bending to pitch. This is a very difficult solo, with a lot of precision, expressive bending, right from the start. That would be a good area to focus on first, and hell yeah you were TOTALLY having fun, which is VITAL!

    If you watch this video, I was doing wider stretches than Romeo (I'm the one on the far right of the video, with the red guitar and the painted-on white pants), including Alicia's 12 to 17 stretch, and doing it pretty quick. But this was in 1996 when I was 25. Now, at 50, that stretch is harder. :)

    That's a great example of someone playing to his own strengths. Watch the video closer again. There's not a single wide stretch to be seen, and it still sounds great.

    Getting really good until it's not! Try to keep that finger PLANTED on 12 when you reach for 17. I know it's a stretch, but it's better to hold that anchor than lose it if you can.

    Not too expensive guitar for lower tunings

    The Drop pedal is excellent, but it still has artifacts and a delay long enough to feel on faster passages. It also doesn't seem to work great with a compressed clean tone, at least for me. The easiest solution for changing tunings quickly is to have more guitars. Always. :rock-hand:
