    Are Yamaha Pacifica's any good?

    I’m relatively inexperienced when it comes to guitar and all the technicals. My Yamaha Pacifica is the only guitar I’ve ever owned. The only other guitar I’ve ever TOUCHED is a Telecaster. From a far more experienced player’s perspective, is this guitar good in your opinions?

    I just take a break, nothing wrong with taking a short break if you aren’t in the mood. I just remind myself that all guitarists struggle from time to time. But you have to find whatever motivates you personally.

    Does anyone have any tips on how to stop unwanted pull-offs? It’s very annoying when I take my finger off a fret to move to another string then I do an unwanted pull-off and I play a note I don’t want to play. Thanks!

    Is it my pick or am I just bad at alternate picking?

    My pick is pretty big, not sure exactly how big but around 3cm. I have really been struggling with alternate picking recently and I feel like my pick is making it 10x more difficult. Would getting a smaller pick help or am I just making up excuses in my head?

    How does everyone else play power chords?

    How does everyone else play power chords? Do you use your 1st, 3rd and 4th fingers like me, 1st and 3rd fingers or like some mad people who use their 1st and 4th fingers? Or do you alternate between them? Be interesting to know.

    Could somebody please explain to me how you know which chords can be played over which scale, and vica versa (which scale can be played over which chord)? It would be very helpful!
