    Thoughts on Nu Metal?

Put on Drowning Pool, "Bodies", meet your criteria?

I like her voice but her music is just weird.

Anyone can write a pop song, literally anyone. Let me give you a rundown, synthetic instruments which have so many effects over them you can't tell what in the hell it is that's being played, lyrics that make no logical or grammatical sense, keep it short, no guitar, create a video at a house...

    Thoughts on Nu Metal?

I never really said it was my thing, I was just saying that it seemed like a logical progression for metal music. What is your criteria for a good song?

Everything bar rock and metal, let's stick with that!

A bad song will never get played on the radio … really … so I guess you enjoy Migos then? Or Taylor Swift?

$0.006 is essentially nothing, so Spotify shouldn't even bother, because the amount they give artists is so pathetic that there isn't even a point. YouTube probably gives out more than that, and that's saying something. The best thing to do when someone tries to make you sign a major contract is...

    Where should I learn theory?,

Ah, that's okay, I hate jazz anyway. What sort of music is that anyway.

    Thoughts on Nu Metal?

Nu metal was a weird time in music, it seemed like a natural progression though, to combine other forms of music with metal, there wasn't really anywhere else for the genre to go, in terms of new sound that is. It very much seemed like a combination of metal with hip-hop inspired grooves and...

    Where should I learn theory?,

It depends on how you define theory, for example, If I know nothing about keys or notes, but I know the blues boxes, do I still know some theory? Theory might be important for analysis of a song but It is far from important if you want to CREATE a song, that's my opinion anyway.

    Happy birthday, Randy.

There are a ton of eighties guitarists you should check out. I'm actually more into the guitarists of old than now, George Lynch is a monster, if you like Rhodes then you'll enjoy him as well.

    Happy birthday, Randy.

Here is a fact for everyone. George Lynch got his nickname, "Mr Scary", from Rhodes, because apparently he was intimidated by Lynch's playing, seems like a great guy.

    Where should I learn theory?,

This site is pretty good for theory, but I don't think you need to get really into it, there are ton of guys who know almost no theory, I believe Slash only really knows blues shapes and that's it. I prefer a player with soul over a technical freak like Satch, although I do like Satch, but it's...

Are you loyal to one brand in particular?

Hey, George Jetson could get a better guitar than that! :)

    Happy birthday, Randy.

Yep, and what a guitarist he is as well.

    Happy birthday, Randy.

Don't forget about the Quiet Riot albums!

    Happy birthday, Randy.

Speak of the Devil, the live album following the maestro was great as well.

    Happy birthday, great guitarist.

You can get your music out there, but there is so much music out there that there is an overabundance of it. You don't have the record labels who used to be the gatekeeper for what was considered good, (which they didn't do very well at admittedly). Plus, bands essentially make no money on new...

Yeah, spotify sucks, it's a pretty good deal but yeah, doesn't leave a lot for the artist.
